I’m a huge fan of Rick Rubin. I first came across his name in the liner notes of many albums by bands I adore: “Producer Rick Rubin.” However, what truly captivated me was encountering his name on albums of genres I typically wouldn’t listen to.

My personal musical preferences aside, what intrigues me most is the diverse range of creative projects Rubin has been involved in, spanning from the Beastie Boys and Slayer to RHCP and Johnny Cash. One of my top 5 songs of all time is definitely Johnny Cash’s version of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt”. Rick Rubin is the producer of that album.

Inspired by all of this, I read Rick Rubin’s amazing book “The Creative Act”. Along the lines of Rubin, I am convinced that all humans are creative. We all are creative if we just tune in and have habits that foster our creativity. It’s a way of being human.

Here’s an unedited link to a Perplexity summary on how to use AI creatively, inspired by Rick Rubin.
