#4 Monday Note: Ted Lasso says Microsoft Copilot is not a duck!
Hey there, LinkedIn pals! Hope you’re all shining bright. Let’s chat about Copilot, the AI sidekick. It’s like a mini-coach, always there to help. Copilot’s not just a tool, it’s a teacher, learner, partner, and a friend. But a duck? Hold on, what?
Alright, it’s not actually a duck, but think about it. We often say if it walks and talks like a duck, it must be a duck, right? We’re wired to think this way, based on what we see and experience. It’s just how we roll.
But here’s the twist. Copilot, powered by large language models, isn’t what it seems. We often mistake it for a search engine, thanks to our past habits. However, Copilot’s more than that. It’s a creative whiz, conjuring up new ideas, not just repeating what exists. It’s also a bit of a wildcard, surprising us now and then with its outputs. Plus, it learns and evolves.
And those “prompts”? What an unfortunate poor word. Sorry, word, but it doesn’t quite cut it for crafting top-notch, clear language. It’s a bit like trying to play football with a tennis ball — not quite the right fit. We’re not just writing prompts; we’re creating opportunities for brilliance. Keep sharpening those skills, because in this game, the best writers are the best players.
So, nope, Copilot isn’t a duck. It’s a whole new game. And we’re more than just users. We’re its teachers, learners, and partners. Even friends. Well, not like me and you, but you surely get it.
We’re its teachers, shaping how it works with our inputs, feedback, and wisdom. We’re its learners, absorbing its clever tips and tricks. And we’re its partners, teaming up to tackle challenges and spark new ideas. We are its friends and can trust our secrets to it. And at times it can make us laugh.
Together with Copilot, we’re a team, a family. And what’s a family? A biscuit. Delicious, right? So stay delicious, folks. You’re all kinds of awesome.
P.S. This was penned by Copilot, channeling my Ted Lasso love. It’s based on our Copilot experiences at Gofore. Big thanks to Ted, the legend! Huge shout out also to the awesome biscuit team Päivi Pajunen Sami Ellonen Virpi Saari Ville Hurnonen Amin Hassan Pasi Lehtimäki Tommi Rasinmäki Jaana Vuori Juha Lindfors and awesome Microsoft people Katja Kimonen Tuomas Norrbacka and Vesa-Matti “Vesku” Paananen.
